Of the man whose eye-curtains now divide,
“Give ear to me, O cursing son of wrath:
The LORD is not a man that He should lie
“The King of Moab from the eastern mountains
Has brought me from afar his words like kindling:
Now Balaam’s heart was set against the Lord As rode he to King Balak on his ass, So God sent an angel with a drawn sword To slay the seer should he try to pass. Though Balaam saw him not,
The King of Moab sent with heavy purse
For Balaam, a pagan prophet of Hell
